Institutional Services
Institutional Services another of a string of companies that had the spotlight thrown on it during the MUSU Liquidation and where Landeryou and others seemed to go to great lengths to hide their invovment with.
Landeryou has said that he wanted to conceal his identity out of fear that if his identity was revealed it could negatively impact both his own and his wife’s political careers.
An interesting admission.
According to Landeryou, the purpose of Institutional services was to help MUSU reduce costs by avoiding the Unions Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and outsourcing the jobs to presumably cheaper labour.
In Andrew's own words:
“Institutional Services provided cleaning services to MUSU and significantly reduced their costs. The very high EBA meant that MUSU were then keen on outsourcing, so it was intended that it would outsource all of those high cost areas and generate very considerable savings to MUSU.”.
Exactly how Landeryou’s company achieved such cost-savings is itself an interesting question.
It also appeaers that Nick Church was involved with the company as he had been with other companies and causes associated with Landeryou - more on that later.
In relation to Institutional Services Dean McVeigh had sought:
“$215,000 from Landeryou, Ray, Crawford and Lisle-Williams over the allegedly improper appointment of Institutional Services Pty Ltd.
This company was allegedly secretly established by and for Landeryou with a nominal director, and was used as an intermediary for the supply of building and security services for the union building”
The nominal Directors of the company were Paul Kozary and Emerson Walsh Summers.
Paul Kozary was originally appointed as the company’s sole director, secretary and shareholder but later resigned (perhaps following a court order to wind up the company initiated by Frehils which we will find out more about)
On his resignation as director, Kozary appointed ‘Emerson Walsh Summers’ as his replacement.
Andrew would later admit that he knew Paul Kozary (though they hadn’t been in contact for some time), but that not only had he never met Summers (like Andrew Jackson from Marbain), he had never even heard of him.
Summers, however, served as director of the company until September 1 2005, when (at the time the directors of Marbain were replaced), a form was lodged and signed by Andrew Landeryou advising ASIC of the cessation of both Emerson Walsh’s and Paul Kozary’s roles in the company.
On September 6 a meeting of “the Director’ (Andrew Landeryou) of Institutional Services then apparently took place and Andrew Dunner was appointed Administrator.
A week later the first meeting of creditors was held and was attended by two voting creditors - Andrew Landeryou – as creditor owed $250,000 and by D Dunne (for Dean McVeigh – as (presumably contingent) creditor owed $215,135.
Darren Ray and Ben Cass were both there as observers.
In early October, the second meeting of creditors was held and was attended by only two voting creditors - Andrew Landeryou ( $250,000) and D Duong (Australian Tax office) $1.
Motions were again moved by Andrew Landeryou to place the company into liquidation and to destroy the records of the company.
So another one bites the dust – another company placed into liquidation on the motion of Landeryou in his capacity as a creditor of the company he had effectively controlled.
Stay tuned.

HERES A SLIGHTLY UPDATED VERSION OF THE LANDERYOU EMAIL CURRENTLY CIRCULATING:
I am writing this about a person you (unfortunately) probably know a lot about.
Andrew Landeryou has offended many with his appalling weblog. He gives the impression that he can continue with his behaviour and nothing can be done.
But something can be done.
Landeryou several years ago set up a company called 'Marbain' at Melbourne University. This company obtained a cheap lease, and onsold it for a profit of 1.2m, which was funelled overseas, and is very possibly being used by him now to fund his lifestyle.
To read a good summary of the Marbain and other allegations go to bracksed.com's excellent summary and scoll down to the story about Marbain:

This transaction is being investigated by both the Carlton Police and the Fraud Squad.
The tax office should also be taking an interest.
Things might happen, but there’s always a chance that our system will let nothing happen.
Concerned citizens (and its perfectly just to want to see these things prosecuted) should take 20 minutes out of their schedule, and write to the below authorities to see something is done.
If enough letters are written ar this time to the below authorities, something should happen. People are writing if enough do it will happen.
Give it a go, feel free to tell others, here are the details:
Carlton Police
Currently investigating as I understand it . Seeking to get them to lay fraud charges against the MUSU crowd.
330 Drummond Street
Carlton 3052
Victoria Police Fraud Squad
Also investigating, hoping they will present a brief to the DPP
Victoria Road Police Complex
412 St Kilda Road
St Kilda 3004
Australian Tax Office
Marbain never paid any tax on its ‘profit’ , and I’m not sure about the other companies. At the very least tax and penalties should be paid.
Michael D’Ascenzo – Commissioner of Taxation
1st Floor, Casselden Place
2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne 3000
Glyn Davis – Vice Chancellor of Melbourne University
Needs to keep up the pressure on Landeryou in the liquidation, to trace the money owed to MUSU.
Vice-Chancellor
The University of Melbourne

Wow - Is it usual for the tax department to claim $1 - wouldn't think it was worth it.
So in a nutshell, Landeryou and Cass have been listed as main creditors for two separate companies?
What about Landeryou's claim about the amount of money paid for the Marbain lease was quite high?
Well - it goes like this - they paid nothing for the goodwill of the business and then shortly after sold it on to another company for in excess of $1 million dollars.
